Day To Day Itinerary

Day 01:    Arrive Delhi
Traditional welcome by our executive on your arrival at Delhi’s airport followed by transfer to the hotel.

Day 02:    Delhi
Breakfast at the hotel.
Today morning explore and experience the capital of Muslim India between the 12th and 20th centuries, the Old Delhi. We shall stop at the Red Fort for a photo shoot and then take a Rickshaw ride through the narrow streets of the Old Delhi up to the nearby Jama Masjid Mosque, the largest in India, has a courtyard that can hold 25,000 worshippers. The pay a poignant visit to Rajghat, the site of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation and a memorial to this humble man who so changed the world.

In the afternoon we explore India’s bustling capital city the New Delhi visiting the Vijay Chowk, “Victory Square”, stopover at the Presidential Palace with its intriguing combination of classical and Indian design elements and the India Gate memorializing Indian soldiers who died in World War I. Then travel far back in time at Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating from 1570 AD and the first garden-tomb on the Indian sub-continent and lastly visit the Qutab Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world.

Day 03:    Delhi – Agra
Morning after breakfast start your drive to Agra. On arrival check in to your hotel.

In the afternoon proceed for your city tour visiting the Taj Mahal, one of the world’s most admired architectural masterpieces. This majestic marble-domed mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife to symbolize unending love, the Agra Fort, with splendid remains of sandstone and marble palaces. And finally on to Itmad ud Daulah, designed by one of the most powerful women in Indian history.

Day 04:    Agra – Gwalior
Today morning you travel by road to Gwalior. On reaching Gwalior check into your hotel.
Afternoon enjoy a half day city tour covering Gujari Mahal, Man Mandir, The Fort, Saas-Bahu Temple, Jas Vilas Palace, Mausoleum of Tansen. In the evening you can optionally enjoy a spectacular Sound & Light Show in the Fort.

Day 05: Gwalior – Jhansi – Khajuraho
After an early breakfast transfer to train station to board train for Jhansi.
On arrival at Jhansi station board your vehicle for a road journey to Khajuraho. On reaching Khajuraho check in to your hotel.
Late afternoon visit the the famous Western Group of Temples. Optionally, in the evening you can enjoy a Sound & Light show at temple complex that reminds the life and times of the great Chandela Kings and mark out the story of the exclusive temples from the 10th Century to the present day.

Day 07:    Khajuraho – Orchha
After breakfast start your drive to Orchha.

In the afternoon enjoy your sightseeing of Orchha which an old medieval town known for its Cenatophs. A cenotaph is a monument honoring the dead whose mortal remains lay elsewhere. The historic city of Orchha has fourteen magnificent cenotaphs commemorating deceased heroes and rulers. You’ll be able to admire them, along with the site’s impressive ruins of temples and palaces.

Day 08:    Orchha – Jhansi – Bhopal
Breakfast at the hotel and in time transfer to Jhansi railway station for a train journey to Bhopal.
On arrival at Bhopal train station you will be assisted for transfer to your hotel.

Afternoon city tour of Bhopal visiting some of the prominent touristic sites.

Day 09:    Bhopal – Sanchi – Bhopal
Morning after breakfast proceed for an excursion to Sanchi. The ‘Great Stupa’ at Sanchi is the oldest stone structure in India and was originally commissioned by the emperor Ashoka the Great.

In the afternoon the excursion will be to Bhimbetka, the site of South Asia’s richest collection of prehistoric cave paintings.

Day 10:    Bhopal – Indore via Ujjain
After breakfast check out and drive to Indore en-route visiting to Ujjain which is one of the holiest pilgrimage centres for Hindus.
On reaching Indore check in to your hotel with balance of the day free at leisure.

Day 11:    Indore
Morning set out to discover this city containing the extraordinary Kanch Mandir, a Jain temple of mirrors, Central Museum which houses the finest collection of Parmar sculptures from Hinglajgarh. Afternoon will be free at leisure.

Day 12:    Indore – Maheshwar via Omkareshwar
After breakfast start your drive to Maheshwar en-route visiting Omkareshwar a sacred Hindu island.
On reaching Maheshwar check into the Ahilya Fort with rest of the day free.

Day 13:    Maheshwar – Mandu – Maheshwar
Today enjoy a full day in exploring the fortress town of Mandu, replete with palaces, mosques, canals and cenotaphs.

Day 14:    Maheshwar – Indore – Mumbai
Morning after breakfast check out and drive to Indore where you will be dropped at the airport to connect flight to Mumbai.
At Mumbai airport you will be met and assisted for transfer to your hotel.

Day 15:    Mumbai (depart)
Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning enjoy a half day city tour visiting the Prince of Wales Museum to enjoy its excellent collection of ancient Indus Valley artifacts dating back to 2000 BC, in addition to priceless Tibetan and Nepali Art followed by Mani Bhawan, the former residence of Mahatma Gandhi that includes a reference library with over 2,000 books, a photo exhibition of Gandhi’s life and an old charkha or spinning wheel that Gandhi used. Afterward, view the colossal Dhobi Ghat, Mumbai’s outdoor hand laundry and enjoy a drive on the Marine Drive.

Evening in time transfer to the airport to connect your flight back home.
